Top 3 Ways to Fund your Rent to Rent Deals

I get a lot of questions regarding how much it costs to get started with a Rent to Rent business and where to get the funds. So today I’m going to briefly go through a few options. On the topic of how much start-up capital you will need, you will need an average of about 5000 pounds per deal. This is for things like your furniture, painting, decorating, a deposit etc. Some properties may be a little more or a little less depending on the location and the condition the property is in, but on average you’re looking at around 5000 pounds start-up capital.

So how do you fund it?

The first and easiest way is of course your own funds, but if it’s your first start-up this can be hard to do. But if you do have access to your own personal funds in savings or other personal assets, I strongly recommend that you try this option.

The second is looking at joint venture partners. A joint venture partnership is a great way to build and grow your business, because at some point when starting a business, no matter what, we all run out of cash. And if your goal is to eventually start owning properties and going into development you’re going to have to get used to raising funds. Rent to Rent is a good introduction into that.
